I am a clinical social worker in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW #5514), offering both in-person and virtual counselling for adults and children. I support individuals navigating life transitions, parenthood, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, perinatal mental health concerns, compassion fatigue, and those looking to develop healthier coping strategies and boundaries. I’m dedicated to offering a collaborative and non-judgmental space where individuals feel safe to explore their experiences, develop goals, and build resilience.

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University, as well as a Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with children, families, and individuals in a variety of roles—including conducting research on anxiety and mood disorders, delivering interventions to vulnerable populations, providing clinical supervision in a leadership role, and contributing to program and policy development.

I have a particular passion for perinatal mental health. I became certified in Advanced Perinatal Psychotherapy (PMH-C) in 2022, serve as a Director with the Perinatal Mental Health Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador, and have supported families for a number of years as a Peer Support Coordinator with Postpartum Support International. In my practice, I’m deeply attuned to the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, social determinants of health, and the broader systems that shape individual well-being. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they gain insight, strengthen their inner resources, and cultivate meaningful, lasting change.

My therapeutic work is grounded in a strengths-based and collaborative approach. I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I also bring specialized training in areas such as play therapy and grief work with children, trauma-informed care, gender-affirming care, brief focused counselling, and Core Skills in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am committed to creating a supportive, inclusive space where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered in optimizing their well-being. If you’re considering counselling, I’d be honoured to connect and support you as you take this next step.
